BNFF beats Brownell Talbot and Skutt Catholic

The BNFF Girl’s Swim Team won their triangular Tuesday night at Brownell Talbot in Omaha. Fairbury swimmers contributed to six first place medals. Mikwena Lierman ’21 won her 50 Free and 100 Fly. Josi Mans ’21 won her 500 Free. The 200 Yard Medley Relay, 200 Yard Free Relay, and 400 Yard Free Relay won as well.

“Individually, I won all my events, so I was happy with that,” Lierman ’21 said. “Our girls team won almost every event at the meet, so that was exciting for all of us.”

In addition to all the first place medals, Briaunna Knothe ’21 placed sixth in the 500 Free and Mans ’21 contributed to a fourth place finish in a 200 Yard Medley Relay. Ericka Kroeker ’22 PRed in both her 50 Free and 100 Free.

“There were a ton of PRs and great times,” Knothe said. “The pool was different than the pools we typically swim in, but it didn’t affect us.”

BNFF will be back in action next Tuesday, January 14 in a dual at Hastings.
