Fairbury participates in safe trick-or-treating

To celebrate Halloween, the annual Trunk or Treat event was held last night at 5:30. Children 12 and under were invited to walk around the square and collect candy from tons of different decorated vehicles.

“It was a great event even though it was cold.” Fairbury Commerce member Jill Davis said. “I think we still gave over 500 hot dogs!”

Fairbury Commerce and other businesses helped put on this event. The best decorated trunk was even awarded a $25 gift card from Maatsch’s Sinclair. This year’s winner was Westin Packaged Meats.
