Volleyball heads to conference

On Monday Oct. 17, the Lady Jeffs volleyball team traveled to Henderson for the first round of conference play. In the first game of the night, the Jeffs took on the David City Scouts and won in two sets. Jessa Eden ’19 had a good offensive game with seven kills and one block. On the defensive side, Althea Esteller ’17 had eight digs and Izze Schwab ’20 had seven.


Volleyball Competes at Home Invite

The Fairbury Jeffs Volleyball team hosted the Fairbury Invite on Saturday Sept. 17. The Lady Jeffs ran into some tough competition as they lost their three games.

In their first game Fairbury took on Auburn and lost the match in two sets. The Lady Jeffs took on Syracuse and dropped that match in two sets as well. In their final match of the day Fairbury took on Falls City and lost a close match 2-1. The next game for the volleyball team is Tuesday Sept. 20 as they take on the Superior Wildcats at home.

Volleyball has Nail-biter in Crete

On Thursday Sept. 15 the Lady Jeffs Volleyball traveled to Crete to take on the Crete Cardinals. The Lady Jeffs gave the Cardinals a great game but lost the match 3-2.

Crete took the first set of the match by a score of 25-12. The Jeffs took the next two sets 25-21 and 25-16 to take a lead over the Cardinals. Crete rallied and took the last two sets 25-18 and 15-11 to win the match. The Lady Jeffs have the chance to rebound on Sept. 17 as they compete in the Fairbury Invite.

Paige Eden Signs with Doane

On Wednesday March 23 Paige Eden ’16 signed with Doane College to play volleyball. Doane’s assistant volleyball coach Ryan Gray was present at the signing. Eden will attend Doane in the fall of 2016.
