Jeffs football season recap

The season for the Football team did not go so well. With only 27 players and five of them being seniors they did not have much depth at all. The team had a rough season only totaling out one win.

The football team’s season came to an end with an overall record of 1-8. They lost their first 3 games, won on homecoming night, and then lost the rest of the games for the season.

The football team did not have much depth so they either had to cancel some junior varsity games or have most of the varsity team suit up for them. This caused some problems because a lot of the players on the varsity team had to suit up for junior varsity which just caused them to be more fatigued.

The football team on offense averaged about 13 points per game. They usually would score most of their point later in the game other than on a few occasions. This was an issue because by the time they finally scored the other team already had a huge lead.

The football team allowed a combined total score of 375 points through nine games. The football team also allowed an average of nearly 42 points per game.

The football team had the most success in the passing game. James Olds broke two records and tied two more. He now holds the single-game reception yards record and the yards per catch record and tied the most receiving touchdowns in a game and the longest reception touchdown. Jax Biehl also tied the record for the longest passing touchdown

Overall the football team did not have the success they were looking for, but that is over now and all they can do is work on getting better and wait for next season.
