Play production begins to go off-book

The play production actors for the upcoming play WCKYstarted to go off their books and use their memories of what their lines are.

This started to happen on October 26 on the first night of practice after a week and a half of no practices.

“I was a little nervous at first,” Alex Buxton ‘22 said. “But after the second run through Act 1 I was confident.”

The play production has been practicing through Act 1 first, but will practice through Act 2 with no book starting on October 29 and October 30.

“I am very nervous for Act 2,” Hailie Nicholson ‘21 said. “There are a lot of parts where it is confusing and a lot of back and forth.”

The play will be showing on Nov. 20 at 7:00 p.m., Nov. 21 at 7:00 p.m., and Nov. 22 at 2:00 p.m. since the publishing of this post.

“There’s definitely some things to work on,” one of the directors Ryan Dusso said. “But we have a couple of weeks to perfect it and I have every confidence that we will perfect it by show night.”
