Spanish club cleans up two miles along the highway

On Saturday Oct. 11, Spanish club went along highway 15 and picked up trash. Half the group started on road 706 and the other half started on road 708 and met in the middle.

Abigail Judd ’21, Harlie Blas 21′, and Marlaney Deras ’22 walking and looking for trash along the road.

Nine volunteers helped clean up along with two Rotary club members. The weather that day was not the best to clean up in, as it was very windy. “… The only thing was it was so windy, it was very difficult to put the trash in the bags.” Marlaney Deras ‘22 said.

Spanish club does highway cleanup twice a year, once in spring and once in fall. Their next cleanup will be in spring of 2021.
