First time FFA Freshmen students headed up to the Holthus Convention Center in York Nebraska to participate in Creed Speaking.
Trayce Blas and Emily Huss were the two students selected by the FFA sponsor Thomas Dux to compete and speak the FFA Creed.
“Those two did the best jobs in class,” Mr.Dux said. “And they have good speaking qualities.”
After Blas was finished with Creed Speaking he was awarded a ribbon and almost made it to finals.
“No I did not make it to finals but I was one point away,” Blas said. “I don’t remember my score but I got a purple ribbon.”
After Huss was finished with Creed Speaking she was also awarded a ribbon and did not make it to finals as well.
“I got a blue ribbon,” Huss said. “And I did not make it to finals.”
“I thought they both did really good,” said Mr.Dux. “And I hope they decide to take public speaking again next year.”
