The NBFF Swim Team started off their season at Northeast last Thursday. The girls found a lot of success winning the dual 99-88. Their next meet will be a dual in Ralston on Thursday.
Diving went first at the meet. Junior Camryn Wisnieski won with a score of 161 and Senior Natalie Rogge placed third. “Individually, I thought I did well for my first meet,” Rogge said. “There’s definitely room for improvement.”
The swimmers were just as successful as the divers. Mikwena Lierman ’21 won the 100 free and was part of the winning 200 free relay as well as the winning 200 medley relay. She also placed second in the 100 fly with a new PR. Josi Mans ’21 won the 500 free.
“Everyone had a good first meet,” Bri Knothe ’21 said. “We have times to work for and goals to achieve.”
Mans takes a breath during her 500 free. “Personally, I wasn’t where I wanted to be with my times,” Mans said. “It’s the beginning of the season, and I have a lot of meets to get my times down to where they need to be.” Photo by E. Kroeker
