Girls golf shows signs of improvement at Crete Invite

The Girls Golf Team travelled to Crete last Friday for an invite. Only three girls were able to attend the meet. As a team, they placed ninth. Their next meet will be on Thursday in Lincoln.

“Overall I think there were definitely some good things,” Head Girls Golf Coach Jed Martin said. “Casey [Nimmich ’20] played her best front nine, and Ericka [Kroeker ’22] played just as well as she has been playing. The quirkiness of the greens gave Lauren [Patton ’20] some trouble. I’m hoping they’ll all continue to improve as the season goes on.”

Nimmich shot a 109 and placed 25th. Patton shot a 117 and placed 31st. Kroeker shot a 146 and placed 41st. Nimmich thinks the team did well, but she believes they can do better.

“I think we should all focus on staying focused on making each individual shot a good one,” Nimmich said. “This will improve our scores.”
