On Tuesday, April 9, Ms. Davidson’s English III class took a trip down to the city park. The students were able to enjoy the 80 degree weather while they participated in the StoryWalk around the park. Davidson explains StoryWalk was created by Anne Ferguson with a vision of  “an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.”

“As our literature class is moving from our Children’s Lit unit to our Reading the World unit, this was considered to be a good activity to bridge the two ideas.  We were able to analyze the effectiveness of the story in the context of the walk, consider elements we’ve been studying in class, and begin to contemplate what it means to truly read the world around us.”
