Boys Golf falls short to Beatrice

The Boys golf team traveled to Beatrice on Friday for their first competition of the year. Both the Varsity and JV teams played on Friday, but neither could bring home a win. Beatrice’s Varsity team had a team score of 185 while the Jeffs varsity team had a team score of 267. The varsity team consists of Dalton Petersen ’20, Joe Melcher ’20, Trevin Arnold ’19, and Keith Lee ’20.

“[The meet] was a little rough especially since it was our first competition of the year, but there was some good we could take from it. Like for the freshman experience,” Melcher said.

Peterson had the best score with a total of 49 points. Jacob Martin ’22 had the best score on the JV team. Although the meet was not the teams’ best, there is room for improvement. Petersen ’20 has the goal for everyone to make new PRs this season.
