Lady Jeffs take down Warriors

On Friday the Lady Jeffs basketball team competed at home against the Schuyler Warriors. The Jeffs overpowered the Warriors with a 39-12 win. The Jeffs scored the most points in the first half of the game with 25 points and only allowing the opposing team to score 7 points. It was smooth sailing from there. In the second half the Jeffs scored 14 points and Schuyler was only able to score 14.

Jessa Eden ’19 led the team in points with a total of 12 points throughout the game. Sophomore Ellie Ohlde made all of the teams 3 pointers in the game with 3 in total putting the Lady at an advantage against the Warriors.

Freshman Jami Mans believes that the team played really well against Schuyler although she hopes to improve on not turning the ball over so much.

“We executed the plays really well and our defense was solid.” Mans said.

The Lady Jeffs are now 10-11 in the season and will play against the Syracuse Rockets on Wednesday in Nebraska City.
