On Monday, January 28 the Jeffs Boys Basketball team sent the Fillmore Central Panthers home with a loss in the first round of Conference games. The boys played hard against the Panthers and were able to top Fillmore Central with a 35-51 victory.
Isaac Robertson ’19 led the team with 11 points throughout the game and made 3 three point shots. Dalton Peterson ’20 and Trevin Arnold ’19 were able to make all their free throw shots which helped to contribute to the boys victory.
“I thought our team played very well [the other night], our main goal was to come out of the gate hot, and I think we did that.” Freshman Zane Grizzle said.

Dylan Starr ’21 runs in for a layup against the Panthers in the second half of the game. Starr scored 3 points in the game on Monday.
In the first half the boys scored 27 points and only allowed the opposing team to score 21. The second half the boys kicked into gear and scored 24 points. The Panthers were only able to make 14 points, leaving the Jeffs with a victory and headed to the second round of Conference games.
