In the second day of holiday tournament play, the Lady Jeffs defeated Lincoln Luthern with a final score of 41-26. After a 43-17 win over Holdrege the night before, the Jeffs returned the following day to play in the championship against the Warriors.
With little time to prepare between games, there were a few keys that the Jeffs needed to capitalize on in order to be successful.
“We knew we had to keep our turnovers low,” Cora DeBoer ’20 said. “We ended the game with eight and that was the best turnover stat we’ve had in a long time.”
With a large portion of the season left, big wins like this are crucial for setting up the next half of the season.
“I think it really builds up our confidence going into our next games knowing that we can beat bigger schools like them,” Karly McCord ’22 said.
The next regular season game will be on January 3rd against Tri-County.
