Girls basketball starts fresh

Along with the other winter sports, girls basketball started on November 5 with one week of conditioning. The next week, the 12th, the team started official practices. With new coach Lyle Thompson, the team will start off fresh and new.

“Conditioning week was great. We all worked very hard, and pushed each other to our limits. Our first week of practice was amazing, we have improved so much on a lot of things in such a little amount of time,” Jessa Eden ’19 said. “I’m super excited for this season due to how much potiontail we have and to be bless with such an amazing team!  If we work together we will get very far, we’ll see you guys in Lincoln.”

“I think the first two weeks of basketball has been going pretty well. All the girls on the team have been working really hard and giving 110% effort. I think this upcoming season is going to be one of the best Fairbury Lady Jeffs Basketball has seen in a while,” Sara Huss ’20 said. “Everyone seems to be buying into the process and the new coaching. I’m very excited to see where this team goes this season!”
