Students participate in Red Ribbon Week

Halloween 2Students dressed up for Red Ribbon Week on the week of October 29th through November 1st. Red Ribbon week is a week to educate students on the effects of drugs and alcohol. Many students participated in the dress up days, wearing their craziest or coolest outfits.

The week started off with pajama day on Monday, Tuesday was High School stereotypes where students dressed up as jocks, nerds and any other stereo type one can think of. On Wednesday students wore their Halloween costumes to get in the Halloween spirit. Ending the week was red out/crazy day.

Students were able to participate in trivia throughout the week. Every morning a question related to drugs and alcohol would be announced over the intercom. Students would then go to English teacher Ms. Jones room and if they answered correctly would win a prize.

“I think it is a good way to spread awareness about illegal drug use and how important it is to stay drug free” Brylee Yantz ’21 said.
