Jeffs Volleyball falls short at Districts

Over the past two days, the Jeffs Volleyball team traveled their way to Norris High School to battle at Districts. On Monday, November 29th, the Jeffs took on the Auburn Bulldogs in the district semi-final. Fairbury had lost twice to Auburn previously in the season. However, after a whole five set battle, Fairbury beat Auburn for the first time this season and also advanced to the district final.

Head Volleyball Coach Hannah Rundle said,”We were able to stay aggressive, keep Auburn out of a system and capitalize on the free balls they sent us.  We played hard as a team and really left everything out on the floor.  It’s the type of game you hope to play during post-season volleyball.  It was a good finale to our season and shows the improvement, ability, and competitive edge of our girls.”

The next day, Tuesday, November 29th, they traveled back to Norris High School to play for a substate against the Syracuse Rockets. Unfortunately, the Jeffs Volleyball Team  did not come out on top. They took a tough loss in three sets. Their season has officially come to an end.
