FFA Chapter travels to Indy for Nationals

Eighteen chapter members loaded buses and headed down to Indianapolis, Indiana for the 91st National FFA Convention this last week. Thomas Dux, Fairbury’s FFA advisor, said they drove all night and arrived at their hotel on Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday night the group attended the opening session of the 91st National Convention at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. On Thursday they were able to explore downtown Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Speedway. On Friday, the members walked through the FFA Convention Expo and were able to visit with different Ag Companies. They also visited with colleges from all over the country about their fields of study. Dux said the group also watched FFA Creed Speaking Finals and Parliamentary procedure finals that night. They ended Friday with the 7th general session. Thursday and Friday night there was also a dance held for all attending FFA members.
