Lady Jeffs fall short to Superior

On Tuesday night, the Lady Jeffs Varsity Volleyball team fell short in three sets. The final scores were 25-23, 25-20, and 25-18. The Jeffs next game will be at Beatrice on Thursday, September 20.

“I think that as a team, we played hard against Superior,” Izze Schwab ’20 said. “We had a game plan to adjust our blocking, cheat some on the bigger girls and adjust our coverage and we did well following through with that.”

Schwab said that she thinks the team did well keeping their opponent’s star athlete under control. She thinks they had a great game of Volleyball even though they didn’t win, and they were ready to go when the whistle blew.

“The team did a good job of keeping Superior out of system and staying aggressive at the net,” Head Volleyball Coach Hannah Rundle said. “We need to continue to work this season to improve each game and really continue to get better and learn from each win or loss.  We are happy with our match against Superior despite the loss.  We know that we have come a long way and will continue to take steps forward in being the type of team we want to be in post-season.”
