“When I PR (personal record) I just get so happy inside and it helps me realize that all of the long hard practices are finally paying off,” Arnold said.

Other medalists were Mallonee Biehl placing third in the 800, Jasmine Snyder fifth in high jump, Kacy Starck fifth in long jump, and the 4×1 A team came in third with a team consisting of Tori Likens ’19, Leah Moyer ’21, Joy Ondrak ’19, and Izze Schwab ’20. Schwab also placed first in discus and Arnold placed fourth.

With the wind being a difficult factor in the meet the athletes were still able to compete with a great amount of success.

“I pushed myself the hardest on that back straight away and no matter how hard it got, which it got pretty hard, I never gave up,” Paulsen said. “I pushed myself through and never stopped giving my best.”
