Junior High Track faces tough competition at York

Yesterday, the Junior High Track team travelled to York to compete in a Quad against Seward, York and Crete. The tough competition proved to be a challenge, but they were still able to pull through with some first place performances. The seventh grade girls even won their division.

Jami Mans’22 won the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 32.68. Alex Buxton’22 won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.57. Emily Huss’23 won the discus with a throw of 74’01.00 and the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.61. Hannah Robertson’23 won the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.34 and the long jump with a distance of 13’05.50. Mikya Lierman’23 won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1.11.15. Devon Carel’23 won high jump with a jump at 5’04, the 1600 meter run with a time of 5.17.17, the 800 meter run with a time of 2.29.82, and the 400 meter dash with a time of 1.01.33

The seventh grade girls ended with a total of 79 points. The eighth grade girls got 39 points. The seventh grade boys got 40 points, and the eighth grade boys got 23.33 points. The Junior High Track team will be back in action on Friday, May 4 at Milford.
