Trap team sets season record

On Saturday, April 21, the trap team traveled to Beatrice for their last regular season meet. The team received a record amount of medals for the season. Both Riley Stewart ’21 and Brock Barton ’18 shot a perfect score of 50/50 during their 16-yard rounds.

“I felt good because I shot a 50/50 and I haven’t done that before,” Stewart said.

The scores from this meet were: Barton- 94/100, Stewart- 89/100, Lane Zabokrtsky ’21- 87/100, Jacob Maschmann ’18- 90/100, Kyle Gregory ’21- 79/100, Thomas Kroeker ’19- 73/100, Cashe Kroll ’21- 66/100, Ethan Hintz ’21- 79/100 and Austin Massa ’21- 75/100.

“I want to shoot as good as I am now and do well at state,” Stewart said.

The first team received three medals for Senior Team Runner-up, Handicap Team Runner-up and High Overall Team Runner Up. Stewart received a medal for Senior Male 16-yard Runner-up. Barton received individual medals for High Senior Male 16-yard and 24/25-yard handicap runner-up.
