The boys golf team traveled to Beatrice on Monday, April 23 to compete at an invite. Schools who competed were Beatrice, Beatrice JV, Bennington, Crete, Fairbury, Nebraska City, Norris, Lincoln Northwest, Platteview, Seward, Syracuse, Waverly and York.

The boys golfed 18 holes and came out 12 out of 14 teams with a score of 413. Leading Fairbury’s team was Dalton Petersen ’20 who shot a 96 and placed 41. Following Petersen was Aden Watson ’21 who shot a 98; Trevin Arnold ’19, who shot a 108; Devin Wanamaker ’20 who shot a 111; and rounding off the Fairbury’s varsity team was Joe Melcher ’20, who shot a 123.
“Personally, I golfed average,” Petersen said. “I felt that it was a good meet to gain more experience giving that we are a young team this year.”
The boys next meet will be held at Crete on Friday, April 27.
