FBLA travels to Omaha for SLC

On Thursday, April 5, the Fairbury branch of FBLA travelled to Omaha for the FBLA state leadership conference. They stayed and competed for three days, and brought home several awards and honors.

Jacob Johnson ’18, Macy Ohlde ’18, and Isaac Robertson ’19 received 6th place in the American Enterprise competition. Ohlde also received 7th place in Health Care Administration, Johnson also received honorable mentions in Sports Entertainment and Management, and Robertson received an honorable mention in his Community Service Project. Josh Robertson ’21 received honorable mentions in Intro to Financial Math and Middle Level Business Math, and Kacy Starck ’21 received an honorable mention in Middle Level Career Exploration. Finally, Mikasa Lierman ’19 received an honorable mention in Journalism and Jayson Klaumann ‘19 received an honorable mention in Business Communications.

“I felt SLC was a very rewarding experience for me, being the first year I have gone,” Klaumann said. “I am looking forward to next year.”
