Trap team successful at Beatrice

On March 31, the trap team traveled to Beatrice for their third meet of the season. There were three medalists from Fairbury. One of the Medalists was Lane Zabokrtsky ’21.

“I was pretty excited that we got first for 16s,” Zabokrtsky said. “It was pretty nice. A lot of us got two medals.”

The first team, which consists of Zabokrtsky, Riley Stewart ’21, Brock Barton ’18, Buchanan Tietjen (Thayer), and Scylar Roop (Thayer) won first place in the 16 yard shoot. Zabokrtsky won third high 20-21 yard handicap. Stewart received high male for 16 yards. Barton got second place high handicap 22-23 yard.

“My goal is to get first a lot,” Zabokrtsky said. “I would like to get 50/50 on 16s and at least a 45/50 on 25 yard handicap this year.”

The individual scores from the meet are: Zabokrtsky with 83/100, Stewart with 82/100, Barton with 87/100, Jacob Maschmann ’18 with 77/100, Kyle Gregory ’21 with 81/100, Cashe Kroll ’21 with 65/100, Ethan Hintz ’21 with 72/100 and Thomas Kroeker ’19 with 66/100.

Their next meet is Saturday, April 7, where they will be in Nebraska City for the second time this season.
