The boys and girls track teams started spring practices on Monday, February 26.
This year, there are 27 boys and 43 girls out. Head coach for the girls is Matt Edson and Derek Garfield for the boys. Assistant coaches are Amy Engle-Evans and Drew Stone. Bruce Uher and Chuck Humphrey are the throwing coaches.
“I think everyone is working really hard, so it’s going great,” Senior Britney Sheetz said, “I’m looking forward to competing one last time for FHS and spending time with my teammates and coaches.”
“Hard work equals excellence,” Seth Firmanik ’20 said, “I’m really looking forward to the boys four-by-one this year.”
The first track meet is March 20 at Concordia which will be the Jeffs first indoor track meet they have attended.
