Trap shooters prepare for the upcoming season

The trap team started the season out with their first practice on Monday February, 19. They practice at the Fairbury airport two days a week. At each practice they shoot 50 targets at the 16 yard line and dividing their score by two and then moving to that yard line and shoot 50 more. There are different teams and they decide those on the last day of practice before the first meet and whoever shoots the best score in the 16 and handicap gets the tops spot and then they go from there. The trap team will be competing at their first meet of the season on Saturday March, 17 the location is to be announced.

“I think that we are going to outshoot most other teams mostly with our first team but we will gave a strong second team as well,” Lane Zabokrtsky ’21 said.
