The Jeffs traveled to Norris to take on the Auburn Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 20. The jeffs fought for the win but ultimately ended up losing 46-40.
“I think it went really well. We were really close, played the number one seed and we were right there the whole time,” Basketball coach Travis Steinhoff said.
The leading scorer for the Jeffs was Chance Amundson ’20. He scored 16 points and helped keep the Jeffs’ score close to the Bulldogs’.
“We played good,” Amundson said. “We just didn’t make enough shots to win.”
The team will have some work to do until next season to improve themselves so they are ready to compete again.
“We’ve got to put a lot of time in the weight room and become better shooters,” Steinhoff said.
The Jeffs ended their season with a record of 7 wins and 18 losses.
