Boys advance to second game in subdistricts

The Boys Varsity Basketball Team started off subdistricts strong. Their first game was against Wilber-Clatonia. They won with a final score of 42-30. They’re next game will be against Auburn in Norris at six tonight.

“I thought the game went well last night,” Head Boys Basketball Coach Travis Steinhoff said. “Our defense was strong, and we played with confidence so hopefully we can go out and do that again tonight.”

The leading scorer was Adam Wasserman ’18 with a total of 21 points. Chance Amundson ’20 had 12 and Dalton Petersen ’20 had 4. Amundson also had two three pointers. Bret Cole ’20 and Wasserman both had a three point shot as well.

” I think as a team we played much more together than we usually have in the past and finally getting the young guns used to the varsity stage helped us a ton last night,” Adam Wasserman ’18 said.
