Humphrey becomes a Warrior

Myranda Humphrey ’18 signed with Midland University on January 17 to compete in track for the school.

“I chose Midland because of how safe I felt and how kind and accommodating everyone is,” Humphrey said.

Humphrey is now the first from the class of 2018 at Fairbury to sign for this sport.

“I’m going to be throwing shot put, discus, hammer and the weight,” Humphrey said.

A crowd gathered in the gym to watch this accomplishment. Along with being involved in track, she plans on going into early education and special education at Midland.

“From the get-go they were cheerful and full of energy and that’s the kind of environment I want to be surrounded by on a daily basis,” Humphrey said. “And getting to do what I love every day is a huge plus.”
