Gathering information from real life examples

Last week the family living class of all senior girls went to the hospital to learn about child birth and got to see a delivery room. Erin Starr talked to the students about different types of medicines you can get while in labor and different stories of what has happened.

Tuesday the old FCS teacher Kay Onnen came to talk to the students about her experience of her adopting her children. Mrs. Onnen’s daughter Laura Barrows skyped the students to tell them about her putting her child up for adoption. Also guidance counselor Taylor Biehl talked to the class about her in vitro insemination, the cost and how it worked.

“The speakers were very informative and it puts a lot of different options out there if you can not get pregnant and we all learned a lot from them talking to us,” Myranda Humphrey ’18 said.
