Jeffs volleyball battles HTRS

The Lady Jeffs volleyball team traveled to Humboldt on Tuesday night to face-off the Lady Titans of HTRS.

The Jeffs played perhaps their best game of the season, winning two out of the five sets of the game but still coming up short.

The Lady Titans came out on top in the first set, but the Jeffs battled back and won the next two consecutive sets. The Titans took the fourth set, tieing the teams with a score of 2-2.

The Jeffs dropped the fifth and final set the the Titans in a hard fought battle, losing the game 2-3.

“We stuck with HTRS to the very end but they just had more energy than us. We have so much potential this year with these girls and we can do so much better but like I said, it’s hard getting over this hump,” Jessa Eden ’19 said.

The Jeffs will be in action again on Saturday in a tournament at Raymond Central at 8:00 a.m.

“But the season isn’t over yet so we’ll just have to push each other to the end and see where it goes… I’m proud to be part of this team with these girls and watch to see how we have improved over the years. We work very hard and are improving game after game,” Eden said.
