The Junior High volleyball started off their season on September 5 against Fillmore Central. Both the A and B Teams were able to compete till the end, while C Team wasn’t able to complete their game, but continue to work hard in after school practices for the future.

The Jeffs had a tough time contending against the Panthers overall with close scores, but fought hard until the end. The A Team lost 23-25 in the first set and 17-25 in the second. However the B Team won in both sets 25-8 and 25-16.

Coaches Linda Johnson and Haley Smiley were overall proud on the success of the girls in their first match and are excited for the results of the upcoming year.

“Our team consists of mostly seventh graders, so we are fairly young.  They are hard workers and have a lot of potential to have success in the season,” Smiley said.
