On the 31st of August Fairbury Jeffs volleyball took to the court in their first official game versus the Auburn Bulldogs. The reserve team lost in two sets, JV won in three sets, and Varsity lost in three.
Varsity came up short during their game, scoring 14-25 during the first, 20-25 during the second, 23-25 during the third.
Leading the Varsity team was Jessa Eden ’19 and Mikasa Lierman ’19 with 2 aces each, Lierman with 8 kills and Sara Huss ’20 with 6.
“I feel like we started out a little rocky, but as the night progressed, we competed well.” Starter Destiny Brown ’19 said. “I look forward to playing them again later in the season.”
