First Cross Country Meet Goes Well

The Fairbury Cross Country Team had their first meet on Thursday, August 31. The meet was held in Superior. The girls’ team got 3rd out of 15 teams and the boys’ team got 5th out of 15 teams.

Mikwena Lierman ’21 led the Lady Jeffs with 6th place and a time of 22:59.521. Josie Blatny ’20 was right behind her with 7th place. Kacy Stark ’21 got 18th place and Emily Burkley ’18 got 19th place. Other runners were Hannah Knigge ’20 with 22nd place, Autumn Branson ’19 with 25th place, Erica Mosher ’21 with 29th place, Sarah Engelman ’21 with 37th place, Britney Scheetz ’18 with 46th place, Jasmine Snyder ’21 with 59th place, and Darby Paulsen ’20 with 67th place.

Jared Engelman ’19 led the Jeffs with 13th place and a time of 19:56.264. Isaac Roberston got 16th place and Devin Holliday got 24th. The other Jeff runners were Braden Graham with 40th place, Dylan Starr with 72nd place, Damian Vculek got 87th place, Riley Stewart got 90th place, Dillon Weichel got 91st place, Grant Snyder got 103rd place, and Chayton Diller got 109th place.
