This year the Fairbury High School Cheerleaders will be stunting at games and events. They went to a UNL camp and a specific stunting camp in Millard this summer to prepare for the year and learn proper technique. Some of the stunts they will perform are shoulder sits, leg stands and pyramids. Their premiere performance was at the Booster Bash on August 16th.
With the addition of stunting the cheerleaders hope to get the crowd more involved with their cheers. “I think it adds a “wow” factor.” Cheerleading Captain Rielee Achtemeier ‘19 said. “I’m hoping it will earn us more respect and get people more interested in cheerleading.”
