Journalism brings home nine medals from state competition

On April 24th eleven journalism students competed in Norfolk against other Class B schools.

Patrick Onrak ’17 earned 6th in Newspaper Layout and 5th in Sports News Writing. Shaye Stall ’17 brought home the 5th place medal in Newspaper Layout. Kelsea Swartz ’17 placed 3rd in Advertising. Mary Lawrence ’17 earned the 5th place title in Infographic design. Delainey Stewart ’18 earned 4th place in Advertising, and Evie Schwab ’18 place 5th in Entertainment Writing and 4th in News Writing.

The yearbook editors Paige Livingston ’18, Emily Burkley ’18, and Mary Lawrence ’17 placed 6th in Yearbook Theme Development.
