The Lady Jeffs Volleyball team played in their season opener at Auburn last night. The Jeffs lost 3-1 but had a strong showing winning the first set with high energy and positivity.
“We won the first set and took that momentum with us throughout the match. Ultimately, unforced errors lead to the first loss of the season but many improvements and positive results were seen,” said Head Coach Hannah Rundle.
The team showed great potential with strong team chemistry. Serve receive passing was a big plus for the Jeffs and helped set up many good plays at the net.
“As the players gain more confidence and team chemistry I believe the Lady Jeffs will be a team to watch in upcoming matches and weeks. We look forward to the support of the FHS student body and the Fairbury community and hope to see you at our home opener on September 13th vs. Columbus Lakeview. Go J E F F S,” said Coach Rundle.
